Cross-industry collaboration: designing cultural & historical themed games

Day 1 - 16:30 - 17:30

In recent years, games have become something that are not just about entertainment, but also media carrying valuable knowledge and information. RNOVA Studio's title Lyrica, is one such game -- combining the unique music style from "Han Chuang Culture and Art" and the rhythm game genre, creating something new and special on the market.

In this 30-minute talk, we will discuss the ways of designing game mechanics from a specific cultural or historical themed context, using Lyrica as an example. And also, how to find the unique selling proposition and the niche for your game. We hope we can create more discussions in this area, paving the way for the designers and developers going down this direction.

Note: This session will be conducted in Mandarin.
