Professor, NTUST CSIE

Wen-Kai Tai is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, as well as a member of the GAME Research Center and the GAME Lab. 

In recent years, he has been working mainly on procedural content generation (PCG), game design automation, game AI and player modeling, multimedia, and other items related to innovative R&D applications. He is also involved in consulting for and developing industry-university collaborations and projects, including research and planning commissions from the government.

Mahjong AI

Day 1 - 15:00 - 16:00

The players of different games exhibit different preferences of play styles and quirks, and they also employ various kinds of strategies and tactics across games. 

 

We will talk about the AI behaviors that we built towards specific play styles, and its online performance. Also, we will share the majong AI models driven by different systems, including heuristics rule-based, MCTS, probabilistic and machine-learning techniques. 

 

Note: This session will be conducted in Mandarin.
