Video game audio mixing
Video games are different from other media in that the experiences they create are not linear nor one-way. You have countless ways to design the interactions and feedback to the players. In order to improve the hearing experience, audio designers need to present a consistent style and utilize dynamic audio mixing, to make the game fully immersive. In this talk, we will introduce the basics of acoustics, uses of the different compression formats and the standards for acoustic pressure, explaining how the presentation of audio can affect player behaviors.
